Christopher Biggs, Composer

 

Christopher Biggs presently studies music composition at the University of  Missouri, Kansas City where he is a Preparing Future Faculty Fellow.  He is also the co-founder of the Kansas City Electronic Music and Arts Alliance (KcEMA).   Chris recently received a SEAMUS/ASCAP student commission.  His album Metatexts is available for purchase online. 

Chris’ music has been presented across the United States and Europe, as well as in Mexico and Taiwan by such notable performers as Magnus Andersson, Brian Sacawa, Eric Honour, Elizabeth Bunt, Keith Kirchoff, Musica Nova, NewEar, Rebecca Ashe, and the California EAR Unit.  His principle composition teachers have been Dan Asia, Craig Walsh, James Mobberley, Paul Rudy, Joao Pedro Oliveira, Chen Yi, and Zhou Long.  You can contact him at cwbiggs@gmail.com
